In today’s episode, I will be speaking with Nunzio & Marc DeSantis of the intergenerational award-winning architecture firm, Nunzio Marc DeSantis Architects.
Nunzio’s career began over 38 years ago at HKS, where he created the HKS hospitality group. Since then, he has completed more than 60,000 hotel rooms throughout the world and is largely credited with having made Cabo San Lucas into the luxury vacation destination that it is today.
Marc’s classical training at the University of Notre Dame and his three years of design experience at Robert A.M. Stern in New York bring a structured and classical perspective to the boutique hospitality firm. During his time with RAMSA, Marc worked on high-level residential projects including the design, interiors, and details of 220 Central Park South, 550 Madison Ave, and 555 W 22nd. Street.
Most recently, Nunzio Marc DeSantis Architects (NMDA) received international recognition for their work on Bishop's Lodge, Auberge Resorts Collection, a legendary landmark reimagined and modernized through a 75M renovation. Nunzio and Marc were honored for their work on the historic resort as winners of Architectural Digest's 2022 Great Design Awards.
